Awutu Mfafo D/A Basic School, located in the Awutu Senya West Constituency of Ghana’s Central Region, has been without a modern computer laboratory since its establishment in the 1950s.
Today, the youth of Awutu Mfafo, in collaboration with the elders of the community, have taken the initiative to invest in building a Computer Laboratory for the school. However, our limited resources alone are not enough to complete this important project. We are therefore calling on all concerned citizens, philanthropists, organizations, and stakeholders to join hands with us to make this vision a reality.

Background
Between 2014 and 2016, the then Member of Parliament for the Awutu Senya West Constituency and former Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Hanna Serwaah Tetteh, made significant progress toward this goal by completing about 60% of the project. Her contributions included the provision of electrical materials, repainting of the entire school building, repair of damaged gates and doors, and installation of essential electrical equipment.

Unfortunately, after the 2016 general elections, when Hon. Tetteh was voted out of office, the project was abandoned under the new leadership of Hon. George Nai Andah. This political discontinuity has left the Computer Laboratory incomplete and the students deprived of vital digital learning opportunities.

Currently, under the leadership of the Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West, Hon. Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui, there has been renewed commitment toward this project. She has already donated five computers and has pledged to provide more as progress continues.

The people of Awutu Mfafo believe that quality education and access to technology are key to empowering the next generation. We therefore invite all individuals, groups, and institutions who share this vision to support us in completing the Awutu Mfafo D/A Basic School Computer Laboratory Project. Together, we can give our students the opportunity to learn, grow, and compete in today’s digital world.
