Domestic violence survivor, Harriet Amuzu, has emotionally recounted how her ex-husband allegedly deceived her into visiting his home, only for her to suffer a horrifying assault.
According to the 32-year-old victim, her ex-husband convinced her to come over under false pretenses. Upon her arrival, he told her: “As long as you are here, I will have sex with you.” Harriet firmly refused, reminding him that they had ended their relationship five months ago and that she would not allow any form of intimacy.
Her refusal, she said, triggered the terrifying incident.

Harriet explained that she was wearing a shirt her ex-husband claimed to have bought for her. He insisted she remove it, saying he owned it. Moments later, he forcibly stripped her naked and began beating her with a mechant, leaving her bruised and battered.
The suspect, John Odartey Lamptey, was captured in a viral Facebook video violently assaulting his ex-wife. Investigations are currently underway, with authorities questioning him on why he lured her to his home only to abuse, strip, and assault her after she rejected his demand for sexual intimacy.
This disturbing case once again highlights the urgent need to protect victims of domestic violence and ensure justice for survivors.
