Sad news struck the Ayawaso East Constituency on Sunday, December 4, 2026, when the death of the sitting Member of Parliament, Hon. Mahama Naser-Ture, was officially announced.
The late MP reportedly passed away after a short illness. In line with Islamic customs and traditions, he was buried the following day, with his final funeral rites observed a week later. His sudden passing has left a significant void in the political leadership of the constituency.
