—Abu Trica is to extradite to USA-

During his recent performance at the Gomoa Easter Festival in the Central Region of Ghana—an event supported by Kwame Asare-Obeng (A-Plus)—he expressed his intention to back calls for the release of Fredrick Kumi, popularly known as Abu Trica.

According to Shatta Wale, he believes Abu Trica is innocent and should not be linked to fraud, urging authorities to grant him freedom.

Abu Trica was apprehended in December 2025 by the Narcotics Control Commission in collaboration with the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) over alleged involvement in an internet fraud case. Reports indicate that the case involves a U.S. victim and an amount totaling $8 million.

Shatta Wale set to release Abu Trica.

On March 27, 2026, the Gbese District Court approved his extradition request to the United States, dismissing all objections raised by his legal team.

The case continues to generate widespread public reaction, with growing calls from supporters and public figures for authorities to reconsider the decision.
