NPP Members Pay Emotional Tribute to Former Agona East Women’s Organizer Diana Okorewaah-Anaman

Family, friends, and members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) gathered in large numbers to pay their final respects to Madam Diana Okorewaah‑Anaman during her final funeral rites held in the Agona East Constituency.

Madam Okorewaah-Anaman served as the NPP Constituency Women’s Organizer for an impressive 21 years, from 1992 to 2013. During her time in office, she was widely recognized for her dedication, commitment, and strong role in mobilizing support for the party in the constituency.

Her final funeral rites took place on March 13, 2026, drawing several party faithful and community members who came to honour her life and contributions.

During the ceremony, members of the NPP forum in the Agona East Constituency collectively donated an amount of ¢5,800 to support the funeral arrangements. Also present was former parliamentary aspirant for Agona East in the 2020 elections and former Tertiary Education Coordinator, Prof. Kwesi Yankah, who graced the occasion and made a personal contribution of ¢600.

The party’s regional chairman also attended the funeral to show support and bid

farewell to the late organizer. In addition, he led fundraising efforts that raised an amount close to $5,000 to support the family. The National Chairman of the party also contributed ¢4,000 to assist the children of the late Madam Okorewaah-Anaman.

The event reflected the deep respect and appreciation many party members had for the late organizer, whose years of service left a lasting impact on the party and the Agona East community.

Madam Diana Okorewaah-Anaman is remembered for her unwavering commitment to the party and her dedication to grassroots political organization.

May her soul continue to rest in peace.
