Bills Microfinance Suspends Four Staff Seen in Viral Assault Video, Hands Them Over to Police

Management of Bills Microfinance Limited, formerly known as Quick Credit Union, has suspended four of its employees who were captured in a viral video allegedly assaulting a 36-year-old woman over a ¢300 loan default.

According to an official update from the company, the four staff members have also been handed over to the police at the Kwabenya District Police Headquarters to assist with ongoing investigations into the incident.

Reports indicate that the employees had earlier visited the woman’s residence to demand repayment of the outstanding debt, which allegedly led to a confrontation captured in the widely circulated video.

The management of Bills Microfinance has also confirmed that they have contacted the victim involved in the incident and are working with her to support the police investigation.

In a statement, the company emphasized that it remains committed to accountability and is fully cooperating with law enforcement authorities to ensure the matter is thoroughly investigated.
