“To God be the glory,” as Evangelist Mama Pat, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has officially been released from Nsawam custody.

In June last year, the controversial televangelist was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment with hard labor on charges including money laundering and defrauding by false pretenses. The charges were linked to broadcasts aired on her former television platform, TenderTV.

Earlier in January 2026, her legal counsel filed a bail application at the Amasaman Circuit Court, seeking her temporary release. However, the application was denied, and the presiding judge ordered her to reappear before the court on February 5, 2026, for a final review of her sentence.

On February 5, 2026, Nana Agradaa appeared before the court for the much-anticipated review hearing. Unlike her previous court appearance, she did not cover her face and was accompanied by some close associates, including Kumawood actor Big Akwesi.

Following deliberations, the court reconsidered the earlier ruling and significantly reduced her sentence from 15 years to 12 months imprisonment.

Subsequently, on February 28, 2026, her lawyer publicly announced that she would be released on March 3, 2026. True to that announcement, Nana Agradaa has now regained her freedom — without serving the full 12-month term.

Her release has since sparked widespread reactions, reigniting public discussions surrounding her case and the court’s revised decision
