On November 5, 2025, Agona Swedru Senior High School (SWESCO), one of the premier institutions in the Agona East Constituency of Ghana’s Central Region, proudly hosted the 2025 Inter-Schools Poetry Competition.
The event was designed to nurture students confidence in public speaking and to help them overcome fear and anxiety when addressing audiences. It provided a platform for young talents to express themselves through the art of poetry, fostering creativity, courage, and communication skills among participants.
The competition brought together several outstanding schools across the Agona East Constituency, along with one guest school from the Effutu-Senya area.
Participating institutions included Kwanyako Senior High Technical School (KWASTECH), Swedru Senior High School (SWESCO), Swedru School of Business (SWESBU), SIDDIQ Senior High School, Nyankrom (NYANTECH), Winneba Senior High School (WINNESEC), and Nsaba Senior High School (NSASS), among others.
The event not only showcased literary brilliance but also inspired the next generation of confident speakers and leaders.
