Four Staff of Bills Microfinance Allegedly Assault Woman Over ¢300 Loan Default

A viral video circulating across social media platforms has sparked public outrage after showing an alleged assault involving four staff members of Bills Microfinance, formerly known as Quick Credit Union, and a 36-year-old woman over an unpaid loan of ¢300.

According to reports, the four employees reportedly went to the woman’s residence to demand repayment of the outstanding loan. However, the married woman was unable to settle the amount at the time, which allegedly led to a confrontation that later turned violent.

Witnesses claim the staff members arrived in a company-branded vehicle, making it easy for people to identify the financial institution they represent.

Further reports also allege that during the incident, the woman’s mobile phone and some other valuable items were taken.

The video has since generated widespread reactions online, with many members of the public calling on the management of Bills Microfinance to thoroughly investigate the matter and take appropriate disciplinary action against the employees involved.
